I was really surprised with how helpful I found it! I was a bit skeptical about Outdoor Learning at first, partially because I didn't know much about it and partially because I had no idea how I would apply it to a writing classroom. That being said, I left the day feeling like I had a good understanding of the pedagogy behind it and a ton of real world applications. That was the best part of the session: getting to talk about and see actual examples. Luke was also great! The 3 hours went so fast and everything was split up so it wasn't overwhelming nor too boring. I think how interactive Luke made it was part of the success. I genuinely wish more teachers could take a session like this because I left feeling reinvigorated in how I could set up my classes for the future.
